Tiny Bites Podcast

Brought to you by Britt, the lovely lady behind the blog “Tiny Ambitions“.  Britt focuses on writing about minimalism, simple living and her love of tiny houses!  I have followed her for some time now and her articles are a breath of fresh air in my day.  So when I discovered that she also hosted a podcast covering similar topics, I was thrilled!

Britt brings a refreshing podcast to the scene.  They are a brief 5-15 minute “tiny bite” of inspiration for your day.  In the podcast, Britt encourages listeners to experiment with simple living (like her recent podcast encouraging listeners to put down their phones and be “unplugged” for a bit), discusses her own challenges and triumphs with her goals (such as a year-long shopping ban!), provides actionable tips and resources, and replies to listener call-ins.

Skimm’d from the Couch

Skimm’d from the Couch

I have been a subscriber to The Skimm, a free daily email brief covering current events in a conversational manner, for a few years now.  Founded by two young women (Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin), I have enjoyed both being a subscriber to the Skimm as well as following their company’s growth trajectory over the past 6 years!

Recently, Danielle and Carly started a podcast to go along with their email.  Skimm’d from the Couch features 30-minute conversations with some pretty amazing women (think Sally Krawcheck, Leandra Medine, and Tina Brown).  These women are entrepreneurs, women in business and/or finance, and authors.  While there are many podcasts interviewing influential people, I really enjoy hearing specifically from the ladies because, well, I am one!  I find that I often resonate with or learn from their perspectives.  And the hosts keep the interviews entertaining, enjoyable and concise.  I recommend checking it out!

Business Wars

Business Wars

I may or may not have binged the entire first season of Business Wars in 1-2 sittings.  Business Wars, a new podcast on Wondry, charts the rise and fall of various businesses and the wars that take place within industries.  Different from the “success stories” typically touted in business podcasts, Business Wars unearths the dirt behind market disruptions and industry competitors.

Season 1 covered “Netflix vs. Blockbuster” (nope- not going to give you any spoilers other than it was a fun listen!) and Season 2 is diving into “Nike vs. Adidas”.  Call me a nerd but hearing the ins and outs of the competitive business industry is my cup of tea!

Happy Saturday and enjoy St. Patrick’s Day!

Always an Adventure,

Mrs. Adventure Rich
